6051 McPherson Avenue, St Louis, MO 63112
Offered at $259,900
6051 McPherson Avenue is located in the Skinker DeBaliviere Neighborhood. It is a 3 bedroom, 1.5 bath home with many recent updates. The handsome quarter-sawn yellow pine floors on the second floor were refinished this spring. The upstairs bath has all new fixtures and is very chic with its custom tile and cabinetry. The first floor half bath also has new fixtures and custom tile.
The sleek new kitchen is not just run of the mill. It is open to the dining room and walks out to a covered porch. The new 42″ wall cabinets and base cabinets are white. The deep bowl stainless sink is approximately 29″ with the deeper depth of approximately 9″. (Yes, the turkey roaster will fit.) The gas oven has 5 burners. The center island is 37×62 with a base of 6 drawers that are 30×24 each. Ooh-la-la that is some great storage! The center island cabinets are espresso.
This handsome kitchen which has tones of grey, black and brown is not run-of-the-mill. It is really conducive to a family who likes to cook. There is a lot of linear counter space for working near the sink and stove and then there is the center island which is partially open to the dining room area – so the non-cooks aren’t isolated.
The granite counters are Marron Cohiba which is quarried in the Huila Region of Angola. It is a very lively natural stone with unevenly shaped dark brown crystals and metallic mica reflections. The back splashes are a dark brown-grey highlighted with 2 strips of contrasting tile. The new ceramic floor is the finishing touch to this European style kitchen.
For those who love to entertain, the first floor has nice flow. The front entry (arts and crafts style) is 13×10 and leads into a columned living room that has plenty of space for seating. The dining room has a beamed ceiling, a bay of windows and 2 stained glass windows.
There is a wide opening between the dining room and kitchen so guests can mill about in freedom. The kitchen opens to a large back deck for some excellent outdoor living space. The yard is just enough to keep the green in your life. The 2 car garage opens to an alley. Oh, I almost forgot about the front porch – the porch swing is very inviting for neighborliness.
The 2nd floor has 3 bedrooms, a new bathroom and a den. There is a 2nd floor deck off the den. Besides the den, one of the special features of the second floor is the newly refinished quarter-sawn yellow pine floors which are in all of the bedrooms. The basement is full. It is clean. It is walk-out and has the old stone foundation. The circuit breaker box was replaced about 10 years ago. The furnace is a newer hot water furnace. The air conditioner and roof are approximately 8 years old. Click here for a video of 6051 McPherson Avenue St Louis MO 63112. Click here room sizes and additional details.
